Turbo Scratch
Turbo Scratch was a small feature built to keep the JokerPlus beta active. Players answered one quick question, unlocked their scratch cards, and played through a fast loop designed to feel tactile and fun.
PROJECT OVERVIEW
A lightweight game that turned feedback into daily engagement
Instead of slowing players down with surveys, we blended a single daily question with a scratch-card mechanic designed for tension and reward. It created a simple loop users understood instantly and naturally returned to.

CORE INSIGHT
The smallest loops often drive the biggest engagement.
CHALLENGE & APPROACH
Collect meaningful insights without breaking the flow
The beta needed engagement, not friction. So we turned feedback into a reward: answer one question, unlock 12 scratch cards. The scratch mechanic mimicked real motion, added quick feedback, and layered in combos and a timer to keep the pace high. A lightweight leaderboard provided motivation without adding complexity.
The entire loop stayed fast, tactile, and easy to repeat.
CORE INSIGHT
Momentum grows when every action feels effortless.
OUTCOME
A small feature that became a core product
Turbo Scratch kept beta retention high and boosted daily return rates. The loop proved sticky enough that it’s now being developed into a permanent game inside JokerPlus — a quick, rewarding experience built for everyday play.
CORE INSIGHT
The win was making something small that people actually wanted to come back to.
