PROJECT OVERVIEW
Designing a modern operating system for a manual, paper-driven car wash.
Sparkles Wash relied on handwritten notes and verbal instructions to run daily operations. I redesigned the workflow end to end and built a digital system that makes bookings, payments, and staff activity clear and trackable across iPad and mobile.
The focus was speed and clarity. By mapping the entire on-site process and translating it into a clean, high-visibility interface, the business moved from guesswork and revenue loss to a structured system with real data and accountability.

No system. No visibility. No accountability.
Sparkles Wash ran everything on paper and memory. Jobs weren’t tracked, payments weren’t recorded properly, and staff activity had no visibility. This led to inconsistent pricing, missed revenue, and no clear accountability across the day-to-day workflow.

Why the manual workflow failed the business
Shadowing staff and reviewing daily operations showed that the core issues came from how information moved through the team. Details were recorded differently from person to person, pricing changed depending on who served the customer, and payments weren’t tied to any trackable workflow. Without a consistent process, accuracy slipped, and the business couldn’t rely on the data it collected.

Making every visit start with the right customer
The old workflow had no reliable way to store or recall customer details. Staff often created duplicate entries, mixed up vehicles, or started each visit from scratch. The new system captures the customer, their cars, and their history in one place, making repeat visits faster, clearer, and far more accurate.

The old setup relied on a wall board and ad-hoc notes, making prices easy to misquote and extras easy to forget. Every action is logged, pricing stays accurate, and the business finally gets real visibility into its daily operations.
