ByMe’s original site was rigid and product focused, which made workshop bookings feel transactional instead of inviting. I redesigned the entire experience end to end, shifting it from a basic checkout flow into a guided, calendar first journey that feels warm, intuitive, and easy to follow.

THE PROBLEM
The majority of bookings required manual clarification via Instagram DMs.
ByMe’s online experience was built entirely inside Shopify, a system designed for selling products, not running workshops. The result was a clunky, multi-step flow where customers struggled to understand the sessions, navigate confusing product pages, or even realise what was clickable.

People weren’t hesitant about the workshop, they were hesitant because the site made the decision feel risky.
RESARCH SUMMARY
Understanding why Shopify broke the experience
Customer interviews showed the biggest issue wasn’t the workshop itself, it was the pathway to book it. Every session lived inside a separate Shopify product page, with scattered details and no guided flow.
Users weren’t confident in what they were booking, and most reached out through Instagram instead of completing checkout.

Bringing clarity to complex information
The original site relied on multiple downloadable PDFs to explain ring styles, pricing, and materials. Information was fragmented and hard to compare, forcing users to jump between files just to understand their options.
The redesign brings everything onto a single structured page with clear content blocks and accordions. Workshop details are now easy to scan, easy to compare, and effortless to navigate.
